I did the "Where The Wall" street art tour with John Nation today in Central Bristol. Thanks to John for a very interesting and informative tour, something I’ve been looking to do for ages. John is a mine of information on the Bristol Street Art scene, a subject he speaks very passionately about. I’ve known John since the 80’s, drinking in local pubs, and his support of the red side of Bristol football.

DOG PORTRAITS

During one of our local walks before lockdown, we met Stacey with her young Dachshund puppy called “Pig”. We did a socially distanced portrait session with Pig at a local park, where we created some lovely portraits with our mobile studio, on a sunny but cold December morning. Pig was a little nervous in front of the camera at first, but soon was over his nervousness and star of the show, and a few Xmas props were added for that Christmassy feel. We were also briefly joined by “Reg”, a white Cockapoo. Reg was great in front of the camera too!

REDCLIFFE BRIDGE

Back in 2010 in happier times before Covid, I took this wedding photo at Bristol Harbour, using Redcliffe Bridge as the background. Redcliffe Bridge, built in 1942, has not been fully operational since 2015 and rarely opens these days, maybe once a year, so thought I would take some photos of a rare occasion. It was opened for the Apple cider boat, which is usually moored at Welsh Back near Bristol Bridge, to go for maintenance. Here are a few of my images, taken with strict social distancing, on my daily walk.
